Our Solar Power Experts Can Help
The key is photons absorption. Solar panels absorb them from the sun through the material they are made of (usually silicon) to produce direct current. The way it works is when the electrons separate from the atoms and move through the panel. After this, the electricity flows to the inverter and converts into alternating current to power your house.
The national average cost is $18,630 for a 1500 square ft. home. Another important factor is the panel system you want. Systems between 3 to 6kW are suitable for homes. Have in mind that government tax credits and local incentives are available for you and will reduce the costs significantly.
If your property is within the jurisdictional boundaries of a city or county permitting authority, you will need a permit. This document might be requested by a licensed electrician in some areas. And depending on your location, you may be required to have a certified electrical contractor connect your system. If you live in a building, electrical permits are required to ensure your safety and to make sure that certain standards are met. Talk to a consultant to learn more.
1.Mark where you want the panels on the roof, drill the holes and screw the lag bolts in being careful with the roof material.
Mount the panels on the racking system.
2.Connect the inverters.
Connect them to the rails using the bolts. The boxes provide a positive and negative wire coming out of it. Connect them together to form a series connection for each array.
3.Finally, connect each panel’s negative and positive DC wires to the inverter’s wires.
